Is anyone aware of a source for black vellux fabric? I'm almost certain I saw black vellux blankets at Sears a few years back, but none since then. If not, anyone have a good alternative for light absorption?

Joseph,

Black velvet fabric is extremely effective, although not quite as good as velux. It can have a sheen at certain angles which can negate it's absorbtive effects.

This should be available at any fabric store such as Jo Anns Fabrics for example. My HT curtains are made from a plum colored equivalent.
