Velodyne: DPS vs DLS

I've got about 2000 cu. ft. to fill. Which of these is better and at what size? 10, 12? Any other options out there for the same price range?

Aside from the box and controls on the DPS and remote for the DLS, they are the same subs. They have the same specs and sound the same. They have the same features. Personally, I like them very much for SQ, punch and versatility. If you are talking $450-$600, you'll have to compare them to Rocket, Outlaw, Hsu and SVS. All bring different things to the table, it depends on what you want. Whatever you choose you're going to get quality.

I agree with Ron. The DPS-10 has been excellent since the day I calibrated it properly
The 10'' should give enough punch in that size room, assuming you have a standard 8 ft ceiling. However, if you watch a lot of movies and you like it loud, for a bit more headroom I'd recommend the 12. Also if having a remote control isn't a big issue for you, go with the DPS series, which offers some of the best looking subs I've seen.
