Vertical Banding - good test pattern for adjustment?

I have a PLV-Z2 that I recently sent in for vertical banding problems. It was upgraded to the new 1.09 firmware, but now the VB is worse.


I have tried all of the tweaks, but can't seem to make the problem any better. In fact, I really have a hard time telling if the tweaks do anything unless I drastically change the service menu values.


Does anyone know of a good test pattern to use when trying to adjust out VB in LCD projectors? I wonder what Sanyo (or other manufacturers) use when they adjust the settings at the factory?
