VGA-> Component on nVidia / My experiment

I am going to try nVidia's "Advanced Display Timings" in the driver control panel. With a little faith, enough knowledge to get in trouble, and a small amount of cash- I have ordered a VGA to Component Video Cable from RAM Electronics. My hope is that I can make use of the 1080i setting in the driver to display on my Samsung HDTV while simultaneously driving the monitor through the DVI with a DVI to VGA adaptor (TV has only component, no DVI). This will hopefully work in "clone" mode with the secondary display set for "Full Screen Video". I have been running the card this way for a while just using the S-Video out to the TV, however, obviously the IQ is bad @ 480i. Has anyone else tried this?
