VGA to Component cable?

236 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  AstrosSuperfan
I have a cable that has VGA on one end and what i think is component on the other. the connections are green red and blue...

Theres no transcoder along the cable. When I try to use the cable, the display doesn't show up on the TV. Currently its just hooked up to the video card, not a tv capture card. Am I doing something wrong? Is it even the right cable?

Thanks for all help

You can't convert VGA to YPbPr with a cable (your TV probably uses YPbPr). You need a trasncoder, or the ATI component adapter if you have an ATI card.
