Does VGA put out a better image than component video on a DVD player, or are they the same? I'm considering a DVD player with VGA output to hook up directly to the VGA input of my X1 projector. Would the image be better because I'm not converting VGA to component video? Thanks for any advice.

Because of the low color bandwidth of DVD's I doubt you would be able to tell the difference. There may be other reasons to use VGA with the X1, but PQ it probably not it.
