I have to say it looks stunning, is *really* small, and will probably be very cheap, considering what it's based on (except perhaps if you get the 15" TFT panel to go with it).

You really need the hardware acceleration for mpeg2 decoding and displaying if you want DVD playback on 933 MHz Via C3, though, so you'll either have to use the builtin "eBios" or you have to manage to get that done in the OS it can also boot to. Also, there's the issue if Powerstrip will work with the integrated VGA card -- though the motherboard inside has a PCI slot, I have no idea if the form factor will allow you to actually utilise that.

It looks like something that might be worth investigating though, I think.

There has been a thread that has been running for the past week on the eBios - not too many are impressed!

Pretty crappy screen shot (the matrix) in the article.

Price for the epia-M 90000, motherboard and cpu is around $160.

Hmm, yeah, I didn't search on eBios, I was more interested in the hardware side of this thing. Cause you can also run from an HD, there, and I have to say again: *damn* but that thing looks cool. For me, it's among the best-looking small-PC devices I've seen.
