I have a pioneer d811s reciever that allows 28mhz bandwidth for video via component switch. Is this enough for HDTV? My picture looks fine but wasn't sure if there is possible degredation.

You might want to bypass the receiver sometime (if you haven't done so already) to see if the PQ improves.
