My switch on my pioneer d811s receiver has a 28MHz bandwidth. Is this enough for my HTPC for my computer? It looks fine but I wasn't sure if the picture quality would be better if it was connect straight to the TV.
This is likely to be enough (assuming you're not running very high resolutions with a high definition monitor). HDTV should be fine for instance (I say should, because the bandwidth is a number game if no tolerances are indicated... )
Even if this would work, and assuming the constraints are minimal, I would still recommend that you connect your HTPC directly to your display (you'll only need one cable, rather than two, and won't have to incur any more losses than necessary).
