i am building my first htpc and have a 5450 512mb ddr3 video card lying around. i will be using my htpc for bluray, dvr and mkv file playing. will better 5000 or 6000 series cards give me better video performance/quality or is this card good?

I am very pleased with the ASUS Nvidia 440 1GB DDR5 for blu-ray, 7MC dvr and mkv.


ATI Radeon drivers were driving me crazy.

If you're not playing games the 5450 should be fine. I use 2 of them for HTPCs and they work perfectly and no problems with ATI drivers. A tip with ATI: use the driver cd that came with the card and if it works leave it alone. Most of the upgrades are for gamers anyway. I'm still using a 2009 driver with one of mine.
