Both are hooked up through HDMI, and Video Games picture quality look so much better - is this normal? On all HD broadcasts under Time Warner it's just not as clear, kind of noticeable noise in darker shades and sometimes gets a tad bit boxy on movements [the closer you are to the TV the more you can see this, obviously]. When it's hooked up the PS3 every shade is perfect and there's no picture distortion at all in the movements etc. Is this normal, or?

A video game system is sending uncompressed 1080p to the tv. Of course its gonna look better than compressed (sometimes heavily) cable.

Make sure you're watching HD material and content on those channels...

I have Time Warner and some HD channels look better than others. But yeah, I have to agree, PS3 looks great and blu-rays looks freakin' awesome!
