Hi all...

Have taken a DVD we have "As Time Goes By" and ripped it with Handbrake, in order to view this with Apple TV...

However the DVD is full screen, but after i encode with Handbrake and test, i see black boarders either side when playing the .m4v file.. how can I eliminate this and retain same aspect ratio of DVD without muking up the video ?

eg, it looks like it must of cropped to 4:3.

Since it's a TV series i guess it's 4:3 but why would it display full screen on DVD then?

The native format of the DVD is 4:3, at least according to Amazon. Your DVD player or TV may be set to always display 4:3 content as 16:9 either by zooming or distorting/stretching.
