Video Noise Filter

I have a 42" samsung Plasma and I get a bit of False conturing and some jagged edges during scenes that use a gradiant of color. (going from light to dark).


It is not all the time, just some scenes it seems to struggle with. I'm using HDMI cable from a HD Sat Receiver.


Is there an inexpensve noice filter that can help with this? I hate to spend another $1000.


Do you think the prices of these units will come down?
