If I want a movie which has a total length of, say, 170 minutes to be saved to a DVD with the best possible image quality. but there will be commercials to edit out of the 240 minutes of broadcast time, are the results better recording to the HDD in SP mode and then using FR for dubbing or, alternatively, recording the the HDD in LP mode, then dubbing as LP. Obviously, the second way I have a lower sampling rate in the first place, but I avoid the conversion. Which gives the better result, in practive?
