Still kind of new here but to me it seems like using your receiver to do video switching would be something that you don't want to do unless you have to. Wouldn't the signal (and therefor PQ) be better if connected directly to the display? I don't understand what is wrong with using the diplays input selection. Am I missing something here?

I don't think you'll lose enough PQ to notice. I finally started using my H/K 325 for component video switching and I don't notice any loss of PQ. The H/K delivers 10Hz–30MHz video switching which is pretty good. I believe you want at least 30MHz for good video switching. Its more of a convenience when using the receiver and the display for me.

Thanks Gater. Can anyone comment on the video switching capabilities of a Denon 3805. This is the leading candidate for my new receiver.
