Trying to figure out why I can't get audio out of my receiver when I switch to my TV's internet applications.

My system consists of an Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver w/ HDMI inputs, a Panasonic TC-L42E50 and I get my TV signal through Verizon FiOS.  I also have some other components, including a DVD/VCR combo player and a Mac Mini.  All my components are connected via HDMI cables, except the audio from my computer.  Everything appears to work normally, except for when I switch my TV from it's regular input (FiOS set top box) to Internet apps like YouTube.  If the set top box is still on, I'll continue to get the audio from whatever channel I'm tuned into rather than the TV, or none at all if I turn the box off.  Can't quite figure out if it's a problem with my cables, the inputs or the receiver.  TV has the latest firmware update, and the receiver isn't updateable.  Any thoughts?
