I am at the very early stages of building a new house. Framing has just started. In about a month I will have to do an electrical walk, where I can have “tech tube” dropped in to use as conduit in the walls for all the electrical. I can add lights, switches, outlets anything electrical I can probably add.

The room dimensions will be 15’x19’ with 8’ Ceilings.

I plan to have most of the equipment housed in the mechanical room on the same floor, separate room.

I am looking for advice at this point on how many drops, lights, switches, etc. Ideal speakers, even if I can’t use them I want to be set up for years to come. I am brand new to this and I don’t know what I don’t know. Unfortunately my builder will not allow a specialist to come in to do the consulting with me.

Anything helps! Thank you in advance!!

Correct me if I'm wrong as I have never built a house before, but doesn't the builder work for you since he's building your house? Or is this some HOA thing?
