SO....the Da-Lite Hi-Power screen has the following specs...

Gain=2.8

Viewing Half-Angle=25

So I did some basic math, and a lot of guesswork as to the definition of "viewing half angle"...and I came to the conclusion that at 10 feet (distance from couch to screen), I have an optimal viewing width of 32 inches. Is that right? How bad will the screen look outside that width? Is the Hi-Power good for one person only, other viewers are screwed?

Viewing half-angle is the angle at which the gain is 1/2. So at 25 degrees, the gain will be 1.4. At 10 feet you have to be sitting 4.7 feet (10*tan(25)) off center encounter this gain reduction.
