I've decided to get one tomorrow, even though I can't find much input on it. I'll be using it with the analog VGA port on my Sony SDM X-82 LCD monitor to view progressivs scan DVD and s-vhs tapes.

Are there any issues others have come up against with this unit? It's been out long enough that surely someone else took the plunge?

I'll post my personal impressions here after I get it...

Thanks!

Please do. Nextvision 6 and AVT-3700 seem like reasonable scaler for $400. Nextvision allows progressive input with RGB output only while AVT is 480i only input but allows progressive component and RGB output. Both uses a single Trident processing video chip with good results for digital PJ. CRT PJ users don't like it as much due to weird color anomalies. I have AVT-3700 for LT150 (XGA DLP) and I love mine. I bought mine for $400 shipped from www.avtoolbox.com. They have a 30D MBG minus $5 shipping (very reasonable policy and very helpful tech support by toll-free phone--email support is not as prompt). Others have had good luck with VLS-2000 for $500-$600. If you have more dough, CS-HD sounds great for $900 and offers DVI output (not supported by your PJ obviously but will be for future PJ)

Huey, Thanks for your input. I decided to pick it up this afternoon -- my impressions are on a separate thread. There was so much interest in this a few months ago, but I couldn't find much written on it lately.

Anyway, thanks again. The N6 seems to be working as advertised. I'm pleased with it for my use.
