ViewSonic panning setting?

I tried to search for this but found no answer. I have an older ViewSonic PJ550 projector. I use it connected to a PC via RGB cable. I was always able to project at higher than native resolutions and it would just interpolate the image to fit on the screen. Now it pans around instead of making it fit. Is this a PC setting or projector setting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
