Right now, the Optoma UHD35 is the only projector with the new low lag .47in XPR chip, that is verified by independent reviewers, to work with Blue Ray 3D. However, the fact that Optoma can do it, means that Viewsonic should be able to do it too, if they really want to.

Viewsonic PX701 4K 3D support?
Hi everyone,
I live in China and i'm confused about the 3D function of the Viewsonic PX701-4K and PX701-4K Pro(basically same as the non-pro version but better throw distance).
The situation here is:
1. Viewsonic USA says PX701-4K doesn't have 3D ability.
2. Viewsonic China says PX701-4K and the newly released PX701-4K Pro both have 3D support and this is what they advertised in thier product description on every chinese e-commerce site. But, there is a small note in the corner that says"3D function is expected to be available in X(month) 2021 through USB update".
3. Viewsonic has been selling the PX701 4K in China for more than half an year and they promised 3D from the start but it never came in reality. What Viewsonic did is repeatedly breaking their promise by changing the "3d availble in X month 2021"multiple times, the latest promised timeframe is June 2021.
4.Viewsonic did put out a test 3D firmware in may(after people complained again and again).
I have bought the PX701 4K Pro a couple days ago having read the "3D in June 2021" note, now I don't know if I should return it because I'm not sure if 3D is truely compatible with the 701 Pro projector. Especially when I did my research and find out that Viewsonic are selling the same model(PX701-4K) in the USA but they didn't advertise 3D. Is it because they use different hardware in the regions? Or it's just they are scaming the chinese but not the americans(who have guns)? Either way I don't wanta projector without 3D. Any ideals?

Acer HE-4K15(model name in China) also have Blue Ray 3D with 0.47 4K and low lag. So I guess hardware it's not the problem. Then it is confusing why Viewsonic didn't even advertise 3D for PX701-4K in the US. While in China, they always put 3D in thier marketing material altough the promised 3D firmare is still not available.Right now, the Optoma UHD35 is the only projector with the new low lag .47in XPR chip, that is verified by independent reviewers, to work with Blue Ray 3D.
