Hello all,
I'm running a Vista Media center system and need some help getting my RC to fully work. My hardware setup is a Dell Studio (running Vista Ultimate x64), Hauppauge Wintv-HVR-1250, and a Logitech Harmony 880 remote. My goal here is to make this as easy as humanly possible so that my wife can use it when I'm not around. I have successfully setup the Harmony to work with MCE by using the IR receiver for the WinTV device and can control most of VMC. There are two exception though: Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 Ultra and Netflix. I can browse within VMC without event, and run any other task/application. However, once I drill down into either PDVD or NF, the only function that works on the RC is 'exit', which backs me out to MCE. The keyboard still works, but once again the goal is the make this super easy (dare I say 'idiot proof' since my wife will NEVER see this posting). It appears that my only option is to re-map the keys, but I'm a little fuzzy on the best way to do this. Plus, if I can get away with it, I'd prefer to NOT purchase software to do it (but if I must, I must). I toyed with the option of buying cyberlinks RC, but then I'd still have to remap to get NF to work so I nixed that idea.
Can anyone help to get me started on this? I figured there's enough geniuses out on this forum that SOMEONE must have something (a little flattery never hurt anyone
).
TIA
