Vivitek(丽讯)HK5200 4K Laser UST

The HK5200 was recently spotted at the InfoComm China 2019, built like a tank (or just a mock-up?) and claiming 4500 lumens. Expect to see similar offerings from BenQ(明基) and ViewSonic(优派) soon.

BenQ? I’ve been hoping they’d come up with something in the UST space. They keep making these $9,000 plus projectors that can’t compete with JVC or Sony. I’ve been wondering why they don’t try making a UST if they want to break into the >$3,000 market.
Sadly, this is 1080p and not available in the US
Might have given it a thought had It been priced to compete, but at 9 thousand dollars it's no wonder no one has heard or seen this unit when it popped on the scene in 2017.
Well, the HK5200 is 4K XPR.

Considering that Vivitek has supposedly announced another traditional DLP 4K XPR projector for the end of the year, utilizing the larger 0.66" DMD that will presumably provide better contrast than the 0.47" DMD, I can't help but wonder whether the HK5200 will utilize the small or the larger digital micromirror device chip.
Another link for those who'd prefer to read in the traditional font.
