The NBCUniversal streaming app called Peackock debuts today and Vizio TVs made since 2016 and running the SmartCast platform will feature the new app starting today. Peackock features free and paid tiers. The free service offers 13,000 hours of content comprised of movies, TV shows, as well as live and on-demand programming that encompasses news, sports, reality TV, and late night TV shows.
Peacock users who opt to pay $4.99 per month for the premium tier will enjoy 20,000 hours of content, and for an additional five dollars per month ($9.99 per month total) subscribers can go ad-free.
