vinc.com

Have you seen the HD version in person? The ED shows a 2000:1 contrast ratio. If you click on where to buy, you can see what B&M store they sell at.

Pretty amazing price and the features do look good. But, I would want to see it in person as I could find no reviews on this set.

buellwinkle I think Hisense makes not much sense to me (no pan intended) since this brand is unknown. I think I read somewhere that it is some Chinese brand. If Chinese are coming with Plasmas to the US, it is a good sign, because just like with DVD players, they will quickly drive the prices on plasmas down.

depends... some reviewers like the vizio p4s, some don't.... the bravo has had more than it's share of trials/tribulations but is still a popular product because of it's performance 9but that is a whole 'nother topic)...

i just wish someone could lay eyes on the real deal... with the sam's "no hassle" return policy at a local store for internet purchase at that price shipped it may be too good to pass up...

Yep it's Sam's Club online. I can't seem to find a flaw with this other than it's an unknown brand/untested. Wish someone had a review!

I think Vizio changed their name to V, Inc or that is short for it or something.

I too am anxious to see this Vizio HD display. THere are things to be concerned about though. 1st, vizio was a hot little company a year ago, since then their "buzz" has faded. Their website doesn't even list the HD plasmas, yet they released press releases in January announcing the availability of these new HD displays. Interestingly, they announced the HD displays at the January CEDIA show, yet they didn't display the actual models at the show.

I suspect they ordered up a certain number of these displays and for whatever reason, didn't think they could move the product. SAMs Club comes along and agress to buy the entire lot.

I also worry about warranty, so even if I do like the display I would want a third party warranty company in case Vizio goes belly up.
