Anyone have DXVA with Arcsoft/Cyberlink/MPC Video working with MediaControl. I stumbled on this post and I am curious if it will work.

FFDShow video must be loaded or else the plugin won't be able to communicate.

If you want arcsoft decoder (or any other decoder than ffdshow) to be used :

1/ Disable FFDShow corresponding decoder in the codec section

2/ Still in the codec section : set uncompressed format to "All supported" and tick the checkbox "Enable in WMP11"

3/ Make sure that FFDShow video decoder merit is the highest (to check this, use a tool like DSFMgr, to be launched in admin mode)

This is a topic I was very interested in as well, but unfortunately I don't think it is possible. Once you introduce FFDshow (which is required for Media Control) into the chain, you break DXVA. I've scoured for this same answer (as I want DXVA + Subtitle support and only mpc-hc does this) and it simply isn't possible unless that particular media player creates a custom renderer for this.
