Noticing that when viewing TV signal in VMC, the voice tracks are being played over FL, C, and FR rather than just the center channel. In general settings, I've got it set up for a 5.1 configuration, in TV, I've got it set up for theater sound. When I take it off theater sound, I get voice in stereo.


Is there a way to make VMC use 5.1 correctly so that voice is only played over center channel? It's working fine with recorded media, this is just TV.

Try un-checking the box that automatically levels the sound in your media center setup screens. I used to only get Dolby ProLogic II out of my receiver until I unchecked that box.

Thanks but that's a no-go. I actually just recently checked that option and was having the same trouble before.


Also, I'm not using an AVR as I've got the Maui board.
