I'd like to know what the ideal settings are for colour saturation, gamma, brightness, etc. within the display adapter's properties inthe Control Panel, when trying to get the best VMR9 settings for pq.


I have a Nvidia FX5900XT.

I think you're best to leave them alone.

Interestingly I've just read that the Nvidia4 codecs have brightness set to high, so I think you should lower it here if you were using those new codecs.

Actually I'm not sure what's up. From what I've seen of the 4.0 decoders on my Gigabyte 6800, Contrast is fine, but PLUGE is crushed, I had to increase the brightness in the decoders to get PLUGE.
