Hi -

My family across the pond have taken delivery of a new Samsung 4k TV. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, they are unable to get the AV out HDMI port to display a picture on the TV.

It was working fine with their Pioneer Kuro previously, yet now the TV is just saying 'no signal'.

I expected a VSX-921 to work with a 4k TV no worries. I know it doesn't support 4k in any way, yet if it's just passing through a 1080p feed (which it is) what's the problem?

Any thoughts, input, appreciated.

Check if the HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI OUT (output) on the Pioneer receiver - it is labelled with grey box; and on the TV You must find HDMI input with ARC feature (it should be described in operating's manual and labelled near the one of the HDMI inputs on the TV.
