I had the same question after looking at the brochure. However if you look at the brochure for the 10HT, this also fails to show 575p. However both brochures show progressive component as suitable signals in addition to the DTV signals of 480p and 720p.


If you look at the operating manual for the 10HT this shows 575p and 720p (both at 50Hz) as input signals. Hopefully this will be clarified when the manual for the 11HT is available on the web, but based on this information I think that the 11HT should be able to accept PAL progresive component input.

Acceptable Signals: DTV (480I, 480p, 720p, 1080I), progressive component, 15k component 50/60 Hz and composite video, V/C video, RGB


This is extracted from the VPL-VW10HT, where 576p isn't specified either. So don't worry, 576p should be fine on the 11HT as on the 10HT. I don't see why Sony would suppress this signal which is handled by some DVD players (Skyworth, Denon 2800) and the iScanPro.
