does anyone know if the WM xtend warranties cover the crack

screen probs that plasmas sometimes get??

Very unlikely, how did the screen crack from an object impact or it did it just crack internally ?

The chances of a plasma screen cracking spontaneously is pretty remote, Impact damage would affect anything you buy. What set are you looking at ?

What "problems"??? Every knucklehead that ever read a forum talks about "problems" in hushed tones. The FACTS still remain: Large TVS are among the most trouble free products you can buy and Plasma has fewer issues than LED/LCD. Gee what happens if you go to pick it up and a wheell falls off. Cars have "problems'. No technical/financial publication recommends service contracts on TVs, unless you talk the garbage end.

It is rare, any issue can be overblown especially here. It is much more likely to have a board or power supply failure than a cracked screen not caused by impact damage. You should really be thinking more about what you are going to us the display for. Gaming, Blurays, TV. Also the light conditions in the room.
