I have double 5/8 sheet rock with Green glue between attached to a staggered stud wall. Is there a benefit in building wall panels or is it just as good to attach the Fabricmate system with insulation directly to the sheet rock.

Thanks

I don't fully understand your question.... are you trying to compare fabric covered walls using the fabricmate track system vs. fabric covered panels that hang on the wall or completely cover the wall?

Use the fabricmate system directly on the walls. It will be a very impressive looking install. Much better looking than panels on the walls, in my opinion.

Gpowers would take exception to that comment. A Wall totally covered with panels made with chamfered edges can look pretty sweet.

Ditto. Fabricmate is a great system but it's all in what you want. My theater is modeled after Greg's as well.
