I was at my local Super Walmart last night here in London, ON and had a good laugh when I strolled through the electronics department. They've had the same RCA HD-DVD player rotting on the shelf since last Fall. And get this: the price? $688.88
! Come on, Walmart, get with it! Future Shop is right next door and has a second generation Toshiba HD-A2 for $599. Walmart should be clearing that thing at 50% off. I should have offerred them $299 for it, but I doubt they would haggle price. They also had the Philips Blu-ray player for $999.

I bought A1 for less than CAD$250 at Future Shop when they were clearing out the demo.

BTW, I was at a store the other day that was selling my Panasonic RP91 DVD player for $800 CAD. That player is 6 years old, and has been discontinued for quite some time AFAIK, but that price is not much different than what I paid for it 6 years ago. Some people just don't get it.

A electronics store in Chinatown downtown Toronto. I don't remember the name. I just went in there to get some passport pix taken.

P.S. How's that A1? (That was you right?)
