Want movie previews/trailers on HD-DVD?

I miss the trailers of movies before the feature! Is it just me? I guess it's still early in the format. I'm not talking about the HD-DVD promo we see now.

There would have to be an option to skip them! Also in HD

Or they can just add them into the menu.

What do you say? Yes, No, Or Who cares?

As long as they dont play automatically and are selectable in the menu, like Sony, not Disney, then I am all for them. I just wish they would put together a better selection of them.
would be nice if the player could just pull down coming attractions on hd dvd from the internet.
Not necessarily ON the HD DVD per se, but I would like to be able to watch one or two of the latest HI-DEF movie trailers via persistent storage (either stream or download in the background) before watching an HD DVD movie. For example, if there's a new Transformers trailer, I want it to start playing before The Matrix starts playing. If I want to skip it and go directly to the feature, no problem. Otherwise, I don't want to go through the SAME trailers every time I put in an HD DVD movie. Gimme something NEW to whet my appetite!
Yes I'd like it

It would be nice to have a 2 special feature options

1. Movies coming soon to theaters

2. Movies coming soon to HD DVD

Then a series of 3 or 4 trailers play with whatever movies
Easier to Just use Quicktime or Yahoo movies for HD trailers. You watch what you want when you want.

That spiderman 3 BD left a bad taste in my mouth. Talk about a waste of space. They could have fit everything on a DVD-R.
I'm with MidnightWatcher. Downlod the trailers when i'm nto looking to the players storage. Also only interested in comming soon to HDDVD trailers.

Players storage? I thought that was just for bookmarks? How much storage does it have? XA1?
I want trailers for all HD-DVD movies - but downloadable from the internet with my computer. I like trailers on the discs, too, if they're optional or can be skipped.
No, unless we get the option to skip them.
I hate spoilers. My movie viewing experience has grown trmendously not watching previews on television. I can't stand the spoilers in the menus even. I get really angry why hollywood think it needs to show the movie in the menus... the best way to enjoy a movie is when it is a COMPLETE surprise.
I don't want forced trailers. Buena Vista does that on their Blu-ray discs and it gets annoying.

What I would like are the trailers for the movie itself(I'm looking at you, Universal and Sony!) along with previews for any upcoming releases that are related in some way to the movie on the disc. All in HD, of course.

No forced trailers and only if it doesn't detract from disc space used to maximise the quality of the release
I voted no. I do not want trailers before the movie, and I definitly do not want forced trailers . If they were through the main menu, than definitly yes.

Also get rid of the forced studio intros, and HD-DVD promos.

Ok, it seems that the poll does not have enough options. Some people have voted "no", but only because they don't like forced trailers (and probably most people would agree with that). I think there should have been an additional option "yes, but only if they're not forced". Probably the poll results would have been even more positive then.

There is 1GB of storage. A hi-def movie trailer may be up to 150 - 200MB running for about 2 minutes or so. Plenty of memory I think. Also, there is a reason for the USB ports on HD DVD players. I think that soon we'll be able to hook up an external HDD to download additional content, audio tracks, subtitles for movies, new high-def movie trailers, upcoming HD DVD trailers, etc. Bring it on!

IMO the usb port would work and keeps the player off the internet (for security?).

but, i think i would like to download to the pc and pull the trailers in over my local network.
Voted "no"

This may sound weird, but I don't mind them when I rent a movie. But if I am buying the movie, I just want to pop in the movie and watch it (or the other bonus features).
I voted yes before realizing that we're NOT talking about preview disc a'la the stuff they sell on eBay. I'd buy those, but just give me the movie on one disc in order to potentially getting the best PQ possible, the extra stuff can be stuffed on a separate disc.
I would like to have Trailers in the Extra's if they play at the beginning when you pop in the disc I rather don't.
