All,

i have an old Velodyne CT120 sub that is a little boomy and the enclosure is pretty abused so i am going to build a new enclosure to house the driver and plate amp but while i am at it i want to do a better job of building it and wanted to know if anyone has the driver info for this 12" driver so i can plug it into WINisd or something like it. i want to see how this driver would work in different enclosures. total DB level is not as important to me as the musicality of this sub as i am also in the process of building a SONOSUB for my HT setup.

Thanks For Looking guys...

I would go sealed given the requirements you have. I will say the amp you have probably has various filters built in that would limit extension or overdriving the unit. With a different enclosure it could potentially change the way it sounds (in a bad way).

Brandon, yep that is why i am hoping someone might have some info on this driver so i can design a good enclosure for it with out taking performance away from it. i can just rebuild another enclosure using the size of the enclosure and port but that would just get me the same boomy sound.

Question:

what would adding some damping to the inside of the enclosure do to the sound? would this "even out" the output any?
