I want to see about getting a new sub for my Onkyo HT-S790 setup with a HT-R540 receiver.


the problem is that it only has a pre-out connection for a sub but I cant find a regular connection for normal speaker wire like on the back of the infinity that I want to buy.

how would I connect it?

Can`t you use LFE-out on the receiver and connect it to the RCA`s on the sub?

Hello Mach 250,

All you need to do is, just take a rca connector. Look at the lower right side of your receiver but just left of the Front Speakers B rca-you will see PRE-OUT/ Sub Woofer-with only one rca connection. Connect that rca to your Infinty sub left side line IN. And if you can use a better Sub rca for the connection.
