Wanted: Advisor for Audiogon Purchase: will compensate

I’m in the process of building a 2 channel system for my home, I will watch TV & Movies through it as well, so probably a 2.2 system, but the main purpose is music. I had a 7.2 Surround but there were so many compromises because it was primarily geared for HT, that I scrapped it in my divorce and am going to do it this way.

They say buy the most speaker you can first which is what I’m doing, looking at Foval Electron 1028be and the Fyne 592sp.

After that huge expenditure( for me 5 grand is big) I’m going to need to find my electronics on Audiogon and seek out the most bang for my buck. I’d like an integrated , as they also will help in the bang 4 buck ideal.

My problem is I’m not very knowledgeable on Audiogon or on The electronics themselves. I’m a few weeks away from getting my money at which time I’m looking for someone to help me out, might find this interesting, and wants to make a little cash. I need someone when the time is upon me, that can go through the integrated market on Audiogon and kind of give me his take on the best deal and best quality.

A lot of times on Audiogon sellers will use terminology that I have no clue what it really means. One, that has believe it or not come up several times is ‘ this is the version sold only in Japan. It was sent in to Mark Levinson or McIntosh and was modified at factory to the 110v we use in states’
I have no idea if that’s a good thing or bad, and believe it or not there are a lot of things I can’t judge if they are good or bad. A McIntosh Amp in great condition that’s 25 years old? Great amp, never could afford it new, but at 25 years is it now junk? ‘Recently sent in and was recapped’ huh?

Anyway if anyone thinks they might like to help a fellow enthusiast , I could PayPal you $100 for your trouble. I just want to do this right. Message me if interested
