That's all I can say on the matter, but if you didn't learn your lesson by missing out on the Home beta, you will most certainly end up kicking yourself this time.

Some people have reported getting beta invites today on NeoGAF. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony's got some announcement planned to try and steal a tiny bit of thunder from the Halo beta.
Brilliant if they do have it out today. Considering the 500K+ beta folks who cannot get into the beta for Halo 3.
What the hell. I have my ps3 and ps2 registered. a member for 2 years. all my games registered and never once have i been invited to be a gap member or beta tester. what am i doing wrong?

read & post on the underground forums... there is a big difference between beta testers and people who want to play games for free. Sony doesnt want the latter.

********. I had my PS3 registered long before HOME was even rumored and I did not get an invite for the HOME beta testing. I also have all my Sony games registered and other stuff. I am signed up for the newsletter even have that GAP thing and no invite. So this means nothing.

It's probably a random sampling of people. Jesus, clean the sand out and settle down.
I think it's luck. I was in the beta for Killzone for the PS2 virtually right after signing up.

What the hell are you talking about? I figured it was random either way. I was calling ******** on having your PS3 registered to be in the warhawk beta. Take some reading comprehension lessons. I don't really care nor did I imply that I was upset for not being able to participate in the HOME beta or any beta for that matter, I was just stating a fact. Oh yeah and there is an ignore list on this forum also. If you don't like what I have to say well then good for you, but don't go around telling people what to do it pisses people off.

Lighten up, Francis.

they def need good buzz though since H3 is doing good (except with crackdown peeps) and set a Sept date.

I've seen people with less than 10 posts get home beta invites. posting on the underground forums doesn't play as much a role as people think. Its completely RANDOM. How else would you explain an underground MODERATOR not getting a home beta invite and a noob that registered with the underground 6months ago and a GAP invite 2 months ago playing home right now?

Fact: GAP members only got the initial home invites. To be a GAP member you need to be registered on the playstation underground and eventually you'll get a GAP invite.

If Warhawk is anything like how they handled Home, it'll be random GAP members chosen. And yes, registering your PS3 would probably not be a bad idea regardless if its factored in the selection process.
How do you geta GAP invite again?

Invite only.

I signed up with the playstation underground using the disc that came with my launch PS2 back in 2002. I received the GAP invite in 2003. Make sure you register your hardware on your underground account. That may play a factor in getting a GAP invite. Not sure though.

No Home invite yet. No Warhawk invite yet.

Do you mind telling me what the undergound forums are? I have registered all my stuff and posted at the playstation boards in reference to my BT headset issues in the past. I suspect the GAP invites are essentially as random as everything else but I just wanted to continue to improve my chances by taking a look at these so called "underground forums". I have yet to find them. Are the Undergound Forums and the Sony Playstation Boards one and the same?

Not sure how they do the GAP invites. Again, I registered in 2002 and got the invite in 2003 with only my PS2 registered back then. I NEVER posted or even read the forums and yet have participated in many demos over the years (PS2 an PSP). I'm up to a whopping 36 posts (most of which in the last couple months).

One thing for sure, make sure you go to your account and click on "contact preferences" on OPT IN for all three (postal, email, partner).

And yes, they are one in the same (ps boards = underground)

Looks as if RLS members are getting the invites first.

What is the RLS Program?

The PlayStation Underground Retail Loyalty Site was developed for US retail employees as an exclusive, Members-only Program and Website where they can access advance details and behind-the-scenes information about PlayStation products, earn Points by learning and providing their PlayStation knowledge and redeem Points for valuable Rewards. How do I participate?

To participate in the RLS Program, you must register, be at least 17 years of age and be a current retail employee at one of the eligible retailers. Here's the RLS sign up site if you work at one of the qualifying retailers....
