Just finished installing a Channel Master Sat "C" kit from DirecTV. The instructions say to use a 7/16" wrench, and tighten the connectors well to prevent moisture from getting in. But be careful, as the cable connectors are pretty flimsy, and if you overtighten them the swivel end will snap off.

My suggestion is to tighten the connector using your hand until it is snug, and then give it just a slight tweak with the wrench to seat the o-ring that's in the cable connector up against the screw terminal block.

Same thing happened to me. Fortunately I have all of the proper tools and supplies to make the repair. Thanks for putting out the warning for the regular Joe out there. I though I was the only one who breaks everything. Being 6'4" 240lbs I break alot of things so I am kind of used to it. I try to keep a spare of almost everything around.
