Hi-

Was Denon at CES this year? I have not heard any news of new AVRs from them.

Thanks,

I didn't get a chance to visit them, but they had a room at the Hilton. You had to know it was there, because it was not advertised.

They had a Suite @ the Hilton showed 2 new Blu Ray players both 2.0 profile, also a prototype of their new high-end AVR platform due out in August.

It sounds like there was no 3808/4308 replacement announced or shown. Too bad.

Anymore info on this avr ? We expected a lower prices separates. Highend avr could be for the 48xx line i guess.

I'm pretty sure Denon will put out a next-gen receiver. No worries.

If I keep waiting I'm sure I can get the next-next-gen... I want to buy soon.

DenonJeff, any comments on the replacements for the 38xx and 43xx models?

I didn't go into the suite but I talked to Jeff while I was at the Hilton. For me the most interesting news was the new lower end prepro. He suggested it might be comparable to the 4xxx receiver line but be a prepro, not a receiver.

Was there anything on a 3808 replacement? That box is in a sweet-spot, but would like to see some next-gen tech in there.
