I just came across an intreresting but frustrating article in last week's Washington Post regarding the competition between Comcast--formerly the execrable District Cablevision--and upstart Pepco-backed Starpower:

What kills me is that not one word is mentioned or even implied about HDTV; my guess is that the author either didn't know about it or assumed it wasn't an issue.

I do wonder why the Comcast executive was mum as well... perhaps because they won't be offering HD until 2003 in the District. All the same, the official could have pointed at the upcoming HD offering as yet another example of how Comcast is trying to compete for customers with Starpower.

Another missed opportunity to push HDTV. Doody.
