i just ran across this new matrox qid card. it claims it can create a video overlay across multiple displays. i seem to remember several people saying they wanted to try to stitch a couple projectors together into a big display but windows did not support it. this thing will even let you turn the projectors 90 degrees. do i understand correctly that this card would allow something like theatertek to create a single overlay across 2-4 svga projectors?

aparently this card is designed to do what i want. it will let you create a standard video overlay and the card will allow it to span up to 4 displays. they are targeting this to video walls and other such stuff. it is not real cheap but compared to a video wall...

i am thinking of using this for a commercial application where we would stitch together 3 projectors into one 3072 x 578, 5' x 20' display. might be neat for widescreen stuff in home theater.
