long ago i ripped a lot of CDs with windows media player to .wav files.

in windows explorer, the file details for the first track on each rip are "track 1", "album unknown", etc.

all the other tracks have correct information. the information looks correct in windows media player. only is incorrect in the file details view.

not a big deal since everything works anyway. i had bigger fish to fry and never bothered to look into fixing this.

what tools can fix/edit these detail properties?

The simplest thing to do would be to 'Right Click' on the file and select 'Properties'. Then select 'Summary' and click ' Advanced'. You should see something like this. It works for MP3s and WMA files, dunno about WAV though.
