I have the above combo, but I just can't get the WD to play files off of the NAS. I have no problems using the NAS with my other PC's on the network and the WD will see the folders on there, but when I open them it says no media found. This is mainly with JPG's, MP3's and TP video files. I can play these same files from a PC on the WD, just not the NAS. I'm about ready to try a new media player since my 30 day return is about to be up. Any ideas?

I think it will show it in both places, I don't remember 100%. When i look at media server i thought it was labeled as N1200 and the shares will show my medial folders on the NAS and not all of the other backup data since that is password protected.

I will give it a try tonight. Is there something in the setup i need to change?

nothing in WDTV setup, just select "network shares"->your nas name-> you may be challenged for a user ID and password after that.
