Guys, I've got a WD TV Live that I've had for years and most of the time it works
great. Occastionally I have a connection problem but usually it works just fine and I love it.

Right now though, it will not connect to my computer or server. However, it gets online (Pandora) fine
so it's obviously connected.

The network test was ok and of course it IS connected to Pandora but it won't connect to my workstation/desktop
or the server.

It just times out and says it can't connect.

Will it even SEE that there is a computer and a server in the network shares?

Also if I see it in my network in windows explorer, am I supposed to see anything else other than the fact
that it IS there?

I have occasionally seen those issues. What helps me:
1) Under Setup - Device - Restart
OR
2) Restart your wireless/router

If #1 doesn't help, try #2 . I usually hate to restart my router unless necessary. I have a Chromecast and at least once a month, it would lose connectivity. The only option it is to bounce the router and it always works. :rolleyes:

Stop the presses!

I unplugged the network cable from the WD, unplugged power, plugged the cable back into another port, plugged it into the WD and powered it up and
now it's working...??

I'm thrilled through.
