I'm in shopping for a receiver and was wondering if there are recommendation for a receiver that has a good web browser interface. I would like to be able to control the receiver from anywhere in the house from a PC/Mac.
Products I'm considering include: the Yamaha A1000, Denon 3311CI, and possibly the Onkyo NR-708. Both Yamaha and Denon mention this feature, but I can't find any details (i.e. screenshots, forum threads, or reviews mentioning how well this works).
The pioneer 1120 includes a basic web interface, and one owner has also begun development of his own Windows-based app (the first versions of which are available in the 1120 thread, along with the code).
The web interface on Yamaha receivers is moderately useful.
I can change volume on it, if in another room. Change source. Navigate the network music stuff. Doen't give you access to the setup GUI. I have the Z7, but I did see a screenshot at some point, and I don't think they changed much with Aventage.
I have an Iphone app for my Denon 3310 that works great. You can select source for every zone. You can adjust volume. You can adjust individual speaker volume. It is very handy. Its called DenONOFF. It was 3.99 I think. It works as long as your on the same wifi network that the denon is connected to.

There's also an iPhone app avail for free in apples app store. I'm also developing an Android app for this receiver.
fiveohhh how is your Android app coming along? I read an article that Pioneer said they have one coming out soon. Will yours be able to control the 1020?
Any hints on why my web interface to the Denon 4311 works but my iPhone Denon app cannot find the receiver. I've been messing around with different routers and bridges. At first the iPhone App could find the receiver after I accessed it (from my iPhone) using the web interface but now only the web interface can find the receiver.
Driving me nuts, any suggestions on what to try?
Using Dlink or Asus router going to Dlink DAP-1522 bridge to Receiver.
