I did not find a thread, or comment that dealt with this specifically.

Does anyone surf the web on their 50+ inch television via the hdmi?

I'm just wondering what your experience was. I'm shopping for a television right now and still slogging through the plasma/lcd muddied waters. One thing that might cinch the decision is if I end up using the television to surf the web on any regular basis. There is so much static content on the screen in this mode that I worry about burn in.

So, how many people have done it and ended up preferring the 15inch screen on the laptop? Does anyone here do it regularly and find it a superior way to browse?

I recommend going to the HTPC forum to get an answer to your question. Generally speaking, you'll want to get no less than 1080p.

You can only connect to the internet through a PC/laptop (wirelessly or by ethernet cables) connected to a tv by hdmi.

Hope that helps.
