Just saw this one Sunday night( not due out till 3rd, dealer releases them early). Maybe I was expecting too much by way of laughs when I saw this based on all the hype , but it seems the laughs were few and far between. I found the movie however to be very entertaining and might even add it to my collection. The PQ on this was as good as it gets on my set up, solid picture all the way through. Even the trailers at the beginning were solid( Check out the trailer for "The new world"). The SQ on the other hand was what is to be expected from a dialogue driven movie, not much use of surrounds or LFE but crisp clear dialogue.

oh totally agree...I didn't see this in theaters but everyone said it was hilarious. I found it humorous but it wasn't the funniest movie I've ever seen...Being just over 2 hours was slightly long for a drama-comedy...I liked it though...entertaining but a little long

Humor is a personal thing... I haven't spoken to anyone yet that didn't like this movie on some level. I would recommend it easily. It will be interesting to see everyone's thoughts on this one.

Yes 40 year old Virgin gave me a laugh I hadn't had in while. I'll be picking up my copy of WC tonight so I'll find out how it rates in comparison.

I saw this in the theater and I liked it a lot. One scene in particular had me in tears from laughter. Vince Vaughn is a comic genius. Wedding Crashers was last years best comedy.

Well if you guys thought 40 year old virgin was hilarious then you'd probably want to strap yourself to your seat for Wedding Crashers otherwise you'd be rolling on the floor. Maybe im just getting too old to find sexual humour hilarious as I didnt find 40 year old to be that humourous either. However I did find American Pie 1 to be quite funny....then again that was years ago.

Wedding Crashers was far and away funnier than 40year old virgin and both were funny. The part in Wedding Crashers where they are having dinner at the famlies house is just too dam funny you almost puke. Also Vince Vaughn is cominc genius. His rants in this movie will bring tears to your eyes. I have never ever once went back to see a comedy twice in the movie theater but this one I saw twice it was that funny. I should have mine today hopefully anyway. J.H.

Well I guess the rest of the movie can be skipped and jump right to the dinner scene  Like I said there were funny parts but they were not as many as I was expecting .

Wrong the whole movie was hilarious. Pointing out this scene does not bring down how funny the whole movie. Like I said Vinces rants are too dam funny. The rant with the preist and the qual hunt will make you cry laughing so hard. The whole movie is funny plus it has some really smokin hot chicks in it too. J.H.

I liked both movies, but I guess I am one of those rare people that actually liked 40 Year Old Virgin more than Wedding Crashers (not by a whole lot). That dinner scene was the funniest thing ever, but I felt there was comedy in 40 Year Old. Vince Vaughn is too funny, he made this movie, but you can't deny that Steve Carroll is a hoot also.

Own both...40 year old virgin has more small laughs...but Wedding Crashers has more big laughs.....particularly when they get to the Cleary estate.

40 year old is good ...but Wedding Crashers is an instant classic imo.

I saw a bootleg (crappy transfer) DVD the day after Thanksgiving and wasn't that impressed with the movie. It seemed more of a one joke movie and got old after awhile. There were funny parts but I expected more because of the all the hype. Maybe my opinion will help those who haven't seen it yet enjoy it more.

Both movies were very good, but you are right, Wedding Crashers was funnier.

For those who havent seen them yet, go enjoy, but dont go with overly high expectations that no movie can reach. I find i am very guilty of that a lot, i expect something so incredible out of a movie that even a really good movie doesnt do it for me the first time i see it. If i watch it a second time with lessor expectations, i realize how good it is. One day i just gotta learn to not have those insane expectations originally so i can really enjoy it the first time!

I loved the 40 Year Old Virgin and also thought the Aristocrats was hilarious. I went to the Wedding Crashers a couple of weeks ago with high expectations. I couldn't make it through the movie and it became only the second movie I walked out of.

I don't know why people think WC is funny. I found the comedy at a bad sitcom level and the whole premise was creepy. The family scenes were embarassingly bad and predictable. This movie is more in the vein of Meet the Parents which was way better than WC. The idea of older guys picking up young nubes and then falling in love and yet trying to win hearts by major deception is old, overworked and just plain pathetic, not funny.
