Hi all,

I had issue with my htpc and need help.

I am using Gigabyte GA-A75M-D2H motherboard and connect to Pioneer vsx-820 via HDMI cable (to BD hdmi port), and output to panasonic plasma tv.

In order to have video show on my tv, I must turn on the amplifier and tv before start my htpc. If I start the pc first and turn on amp later, no video will be display, no signal sign displayed on the amp.

If I have video displayed, when I turn off the amp or switch to other mode (tuner, dvd), and switch back to BD mode, no signal detected again.

Please help as this very troublesome and I can't keep my pc standby or turn off the amp even not in use.

Thanks.

This is a common issue. Many people, including me, just gave up and purchased a Gefen HDMI Detective. This easily solved the problem.

If you motherboard supports 2 display devices, connect the tv directly to the dvi port and the receiver to the hdmi port. Set your tv as display 1 and extend the desktop to display 2 which would be your receiver.
