I have a Denon 1910 hooked up via DVI. The player works fine and everything has been good for the past 2 weeks that I've owned them.


However, just yesterday it did this a couple of times:


I'll be watching a movie, and out of nowhere the picture will dissapear and the projector will begin looking for the DVI-I connection again rather than just staying on DVI-D that the movie is on. This will be right in the middle of viewing.

Also when first turning on the projector and turning on the DVD player, sometimes it never looks for DVI-D until I keep switching/messing around with the inputs. It will just keep looking for DVI-I despite the DVD player being on and I can't get the picture.



Just to let everyone know, I'm running the DVD player directly to the projector so there is no switcher in between. Any help is appreciated.

did you try diffrernt dvds? how long is the dvi cable

Could be the EDID problem issue - do a search in avsforum

I think the problem is the 1910. Several members in the DVD forum have noted both problems using the 1910 and the 8700.

i had this problem with the 8700+ and 1910. i returned the denon and bought the zenith dvb318. 1080i over component looks great.

just had the same thing happen (started searching for DVI during viewing)........made sure cables were tightened up, hoping it doesn't happen again.........
